About
Philosophy
At The Curiosity Cove, we want parents to know that our program is designed to nurture the whole child by blending structure with creativity. We incorporate intentional, curiosity-driven activities that engage children’s minds, hearts, and imaginations. Our approach is rooted in fostering growth through play, exploration, and meaningful connections.
We incorporate basic American Sign Language (ASL) into our daily routines to support early communication, inclusivity, and language development, helping children express their needs, build confidence, and connect with others at every learning stage.
Location + Hours
Our program is located in the welcoming neighborhood of Wyoming, Michigan, a quiet, family-friendly area perfect for childcare. The neighborhood is known for its safety, sense of community, and accessibility, making it an ideal location for families seeking quality care for their children.
A Cozy, home environment: The Curiosity Cove operates out of the home of Janine, our Director, which has been thoughtfully set up to create a cozy, welcoming space where children feel at ease. This setting allows us to provide personalized care and build strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families.
We are open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. through 7:00 a.m. the following morning to support families with extended and overnight care needs. Weekend care is not available at this time.
Pet Friendly
Our gentle animal friends help children practice empathy, responsibility, and care. Interacting with pets offers daily moments to observe, listen, and learn.

Founder and Director
As the Director of The Curiosity Cove, I bring over 15 years of experience in youth-focused programs and education, combined with a deep passion for creating nurturing and enriching environments for children. My background includes mentoring youth through organizations like Big Brother Big Sister for 15 years, leading a Girl Scout troop, and serving in key leadership roles for nonprofits that support children and families. These experiences have taught me the importance of fostering safe spaces where young minds can thrive, no matter the time of day or night.
